Cultivating Knowledge and Sustainability
We are at the center of a cooperative endeavor. Our mission is to bring good, quality produce to marginalized community members while empowering them with essential knowledge and skills. We work hand in hand with various organizations to make a positive impact on our community.
Our programs extend far beyond gardening. We educate and inspire individuals to regrow their own food, teaching them the art of harvesting seeds and preserving herbs and spices for the winter months. We emphasize the importance of pollinators and advocate for companion planting to create healthier, chemical-free food sources.
But our commitment to sustainability doesn't stop there. We educate our community members about the significance of recycling and encourage the use of glass jars and other food-grade containers for seed storage and canning. We show them how everyday household items can serve as pots and watering vessels, helping to reduce the costs associated with gardening supplies.
At Hearts of Humanity, we believe in the transformative power of education, collaboration, and sustainable practices. Together with our partner organizations, we are creating a brighter, more self-sufficient future for our community, one where access to quality produce and the knowledge to grow and preserve it are accessible to all.
